Spectrum Design According to Age
The perception of light spectrum changes with age as the optical and physiological characteristics of the human visual system evolve. For instance, lens yellowing and reduced retinal sensitivity in older individuals significantly affect the transmission and perception of short-wavelength light. As a result, effective lighting design requires targeted spectral engineering rather than a single uniform spectrum. By optimizing the spectral power distribution (SPD), correlated color temperature (CCT), and blue-light content, lighting solutions can be tailored to match the visual comfort and circadian response characteristics of different age groups.


DAY & NITE Spectrum
Inspired by the natural transition from sunrise to sunset, the DAY & NITE Spectrum is designed to align lighting with the human body’s sensitivity to light throughout the day. By understanding how different wavelengths influence alertness, comfort, and circadian rhythm, we developed two optimized spectral solutions.
The DAY spectrum enhances brightness and visual clarity with higher blue and white components, supporting focus, productivity, and daytime activity. In contrast, the NITE spectrum reduces blue light and shifts toward warmer wavelengths, creating a softer, more relaxing environment that helps minimize visual fatigue and supports the body’s natural preparation for rest.
