How to Make Amber Color on LED Lights

Amber is a warm yellow-orange color commonly used in automotive lighting, decorative lighting, signal lamps, and mood lighting. There are several ways to create amber light depending on the type of LED system you are using.

1. Use Dedicated Amber LEDs

The most efficient method is to use LEDs specifically designed to emit amber light.

4. Use Amber Filters

  • Amber glass filters

This method is simple but reduces overall brightness because part of the light is absorbed.


5. Phosphor-Converted Amber LEDs

High-performance lighting products often use phosphor technology.

Process

  1. Blue LED chip emits blue light.

  2. Amber phosphor converts part of the blue light.

  3. Mixed output appears amber.
